Posición: Chef de Partie en restaurante española ‘Cañas y tapas’
Ubicación: Islington, Londres
Salario: £15,743 per annum. Approx 35 hours a week, £8.65 per hr

A Cañas y Tapas Chef de Partie would work closely with the team to ensure that kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining the company reputation and ethos. They must be able to multi task under pressure, have exceptional communication skills in ENGLISH and co-ordinate a variety of activities at a very high level.
·As this is a key role, the Chef must have at least TWO years’ experience in a similar role, hospitality, catering skills and qualifications
·They must be competent and aware of all aspects of food preparation
·They must possess food hygiene and health and safety knowledge
·It will be fast-paced, highly demanding and very rewarding role

A BREAKDOWN OF SOME OF THE KEY REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·To comply with all the kitchen rules, regulations and working practices at all time
·To prepare and cook meals, desserts, bar snacks and other food to the correct measurers and standards required, following food specification and procedures at all times
·To prepare and cook dishes using approved procedures only with reference to volumes, timing and temperature indication by following product description sheets, photos and critical care points
·To maintain high personal standards of cleanliness and are always in correct uniform in line with company policies
·To ensure that all Statutory Laws and Regulations are complied with including Health and Hygiene and Food Safety. Restaurant follows HACCP
·To ensure all procedures, schedules, checklist and paperwork is followed and completed for cleaning, sanitising, food preparation/storage areas including floors etc.
·To keep the kitchen clean and to the highest standard operating within EHO regulations and to make sure the food is prepared and served perfectly in an efficient and timely manner
·Liaise with General Manager regarding food promotions, food tasting and special events
·To constantly review food quality and to always look at ways of improving food quality and overall customer experience
·To ensure kitchen equipment is clean, well maintained and safe to work with at all times
·Assist with receiving deliveries, checking quantities, day labelling and storing in line with approved procedures
·Rotate all food and cleaning products on a FIFO basis
·Work with fellow team members to develop a strong team spirit
·Be aware of emergency, safety first aid and evacuation procedures
·To follow procedures to make sure food is deliverer to the customer at a very high standard.
