An experienced Spanish speaking Accountant is required to join a global organisation, currently the leading source of intelligent information for a number of the worlds businesses and professionals, and a leading supplier of software solutions into the Finance Sector. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a market-leading organisation, and the role will focus on the provision of accountancy expertise to a crucial team predominantly in support of operations in mainland Spain.

The Accountant will be responsible for the control of the business units balance sheets and will ensure that financial statements reflect international standards. They will conduct monthly close activities including the preparation and posting of journals, will identify accruals and prepayments and conduct cost assurance activities to ensure that results are accurate, and will produce monthly Profit and Loss reports for the business when needed. They will also produce comprehensive balance sheet accounts including full commentary and breakdowns, and will ensure they fall in line with internal and SOX guidelines.

The ideal candidates must have proven experience in a dedicated Account role, ideally with a blue-chip or professional services organisation, and strong preference will be given to those who are fully qualified. Candidates must have strong broad experience across the discipline and candidates must have fluent Spanish language skills as the role will involve regular communication to colleagues in Spain.
