DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PUESTO:

You will be their primary project manager, editor and quality controller for the creation of brief factual summaries in Spanish for Google Maps in Spain.

You will develop a deep understanding of the editorial requirements and style in English, and localise their briefing documents into Spanish. You will assist in assessing candidates for the writer roles, and help train those who are successful.

You will quality control and edit the writers’ work to ensure the published summaries are factually, grammatically and stylistically right every time.

Ad-hoc duties as required

Profile:

You are a Spanish up to native level speaker, able to write and edit in Spanish to an extremely high standard. You also speak fluent English, able to understand and write in English to a high standard. You have extensive writing and copy editing experience (ideally in the travel or local field) as well as experience translating and localising between Spanish and English.

Requirements:

You will have project management experience and good people-management skills. You are quick to pick up unfamiliar technology,
Ideally you will have knowledge of at least some of the relevant verticals (restaurants, nightlife, shops, hotels and attractions) in Madrid, as well as wide-ranging writer contacts in those areas all over Spain.
