We are looking for a smart, results-oriented Online Marketing Manager to drive demand and grow our Kindle business. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing best in class marketing strategies for Kindle. This role will be based at the Amazon UK office on London and last for 6 months.
The Online Marketing Manager will create and execute site-wide marketing and email campaigns, compile and analyze traffic metrics and report on performance to management. He or she will work backwards from our customers by driving site improvements to completion and coordinate with project managers, the marketing team, designers, and other editors. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects at once, able to take direction, and collaborate closely with international teams. In addition to having first-class written and verbal communication skills, the Online Marketing Manager will be able to prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be innovative and internally motivated and have strong interest in online merchandising our broad range of Kindle eReaders and Tablets.
Tasks will include:
Planning and executing the online marketing calendar. This includes marketing and email campaigns, new product launches, cross-category placements and participation in Amazon site-wide events.
Develop merchandising for large site-wide promotions, and work closely with program management and marketing team’s to run promotions.
Develop, test, analyze and replicate a successful multiple Kindle marketing program that sells Kindles, improves conversion rates, and more.
Synthesize and analyze relevant metric to generate recommendations to continuously improve our marketing efforts.
Drive site improvements to completion by coordinating with project managers, web developers, designers, marketers, and other online marketing managers.
The Online Marketing Manager must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Native/fluent level of Spanish
Experience designing and executing online customer experiences
Strong communication skills; experience in coordinating teams and communicating to senior management
Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize
Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations
Technical comfort on latest web technology preferred, plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly
The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successful project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities. An understanding of, and passion for technology is highly desired.
